blue cuban tiles

okay! let's talk about this lovely, lovely kitchen. i saw this on apartment therapy and fell in lovvvve. this kitched was designed by tom scheerer and the walls are blue and white 'cuban tiles', which are normally used for the floors. isn't it pretty! and the patterns are simple enough that you could totally recreate it with paint. i did some major snooping and found the company that makes the tiles - cuban tropical tile - which has a GALLERY of their tiles! in a large size! so i can recreate them myself!

it's fall, and cold out, which i love...but this picture makes me want to put pink flowers all over my apartment. who new i liked pink and white so much? from the new anthology magazine.

The Indigo Bunting - Manhattan Wedding

Ahhh, ooooooh - wedding invitation set (for a central park wedding!) designed by The Indigo Bunting. So awesome. It included a map of the couple's favorite places in Manhattan.

wood walls, DIY

"The kitchen wall with the wood was made from old fence wood we found thrown out in a field. We put a thin sheet of wood behind the area we covered, screwed it into the wall and wood glued most of the cut pieces onto that - with a few screws to hold it all into place."

yellow flower wallpaper

via Design*Sponge. I love the yellow wallpaper just on the fireplace, but after spending a whole day ripping down wallpaper from a friend's new house, I don't think I can knowingly subject myself to the same fate. I bet you could do the same thing with some paint - this paeonia wallpaper from Anthropologie is cute, and you could probably just project or trace the image up onto the wall.

Lost Posters: Notting Hill Gate Tube

"A portion of the London Underground was recently uncovered during renovations at the Notting Hill gate tube station in London.
